Unmistaken Identity
How many of us really know ourselves, really know who we are? We might know what type of toppings we like on our pizza and our favorite color, but do we really understand what makes us tick inside? Do we really understand what is going on beneath the surface of our emotions and our actions? At The Bridge, we believe that God created each of us and understands us completely inside and out, and that He can help us to understand ourselves and our unique design and gifting. Through this series of Life Connections we will take the time to explore some of these hard to reach and hard to understand parts of who we are. Please join us on this journey each week and check out some of the other meetings, groups, and resources that are available this fall to aid in your search for an Unmistaken Identity.

September 12th – Discovering our Pattern: Each of us has a unique God-given design that includes a combination of our personality, strengths, and weaknesses. Knowing how we are made is a helpful first step in understanding ourselves. While skills can be learned and unlearned, some parts of who we are, at the core, don’t change. Come and see how discovering our pattern can impact the way we view ourselves and where we best fit.
September 19th – Leveraging our Past: Many of us spend considerable time and energy trying to either forget our past or somehow get over our past.  Through Jesus, our past can become more than just good or bad memories; our past can be a source of strength and direction for our future. In this connection we will learn how God can turn even the worst past into a leverage point for growth in each of us.
September 26th – Expressing our Passions: There seem to be different things that each of us kind of “light up” about. For some it may be music, for others it may be art, or sports, or woodworking. People have all kinds of different interests.   Could it be that these interests serve as a guide to helping us understand our deeper passions – those unquenchable fires that burn deep within us? We invite you to explore with us how giving expression to our passions connects each of us to the heart of God.
October 3rd – Living out our Purpose: When we add up all the pieces that make us unmistakably and uniquely ourselves, it becomes obvious that each of us has an unmistakable and unique purpose. Being able to both identify and live out our purpose is at the heart of following Jesus. During this connection we will look for the clues about living out our purpose that can be found in the life and teachings of Jesus.
